NBC News’ Meet the Press host, David Gregory, to give next Dively Lecture
Published Aug. 13, 2009
David Gregory, host of NBC’s Sunday morning talk show Meet the Press, will be the keynote speaker at Lynn University’s Dively Frontier in Globalization Luncheon Lecture later this year. At the Monday, Nov. 16, noon-time lecture, Gregory, who was named one of Washington's 50 best and most influential journalists by Washingtonian Magazine, will discuss his position at NBC, his career thus far and his opinions on current events.
Gregory, White House correspondent during George W. Bush’s presidency, earned a reputation for being one of the toughest questioners of Bush and his press secretaries, and reported extensively on the 9-11 attacks as well as the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Washingtonian Magazine labeled him the "firebrand in the front row."
Tickets are $70 (includes lunch) for the lecture, which will take place in the campus’ Louis and Anne Green Center. To purchase tickets, visit www.lynn.edu/tickets or contact the ticket office at 561-237-9000.

Previously, Gregory worked as an NBC News correspondent based in Los Angeles and Chicago. He began his journalism career at the age of 18 as a summer reporter for KGUN-TV in Tucson, Arizona. Gregory also worked for NBC's flagship West Coast affiliate KCRA-TV in Sacramento.
A native of Los Angeles, he graduated from American University in Washington, D.C., with a bachelor's degree in international studies. In 2005, Gregory was named the School of International Service's alumnus of the year and now sits on the dean's advisory council.
