Students who participate in Lynn University’s accelerated degree program, Lynn 3.0, which allows students to finish their degree in 3 rather than 4 years, are shown to have a high retention rate. Students admitted to the program for fall 2013-2014 maintained retention rates of 87.5% Students are invited into the program if they have a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher.

“The Lynn 3.0 program has proven to be a very successful program for highly motivated students”, said Gregg Cox, vice president for academic affairs. “Since its inception, the three-year completion rate has consistently been over 80%.”

The 3.0 program started in the fall of 2010 and benefits students by saving them an estimated $45,000 a year in tuition, room and board, books and personal expenses. The program also allows for students to design their own course of study, with guidance from the dean.

The program is available for all majors except those majoring in music and education. Summer classes are also required, but only during the first year of the program.
